  • Collation of data and information of China onshore funds
  • Initial screening of these onshore funds
  • Report writing of funds that we have selected to conduct a full evaluation and / or due diligence.


  • Have strong command of the Chinese language especially business mandarin terms.
  • Basic understanding of financial markets and terminology .




  • Doing original research projects and analysis of markets/investments / industry / funds
  • Developing enhancement tools used in our investment framework


  • Have strong quantitative skills .
  • Undergraduates in Engineering / Maths / Econometrics / Computer studies preferred.




  • Assist Research Analysts to conduct fundamental company analysis and prepare research reports arising from company visits as assigned, with use of research and financial modelling.
  • Update and enhance financial models and existing excel-based templates
  • Update monthly chart packs
  • Update presentation slides/charts for weekly meetings and quarterly ISM
  • Maintain weekly stock screens, stock list and fair value sheets
  • Explore ways to incorporate quantitative analysis to fundamental research
  • Translate investment-related materials (English/Chinese)
  • Update database of company meetings
  • Print out of daily/monthly performance and risk reports
  • Ad-hoc duties as assigned


  • Some experience and background in Equities Research preferable

Marketing & Communications


  • Work closely with the team to organize existing database of information for the answering of RFPs/DDQ and RFI
  • Process improvement on how information can be better categorized and stored, implementation of workflows and processes to update information for use of RFP 
  • Create and maintain RFP and DDQ templates including text, tables and charts
  • Work with other colleagues within Business Development to train and familiarize them with RFP repository
  • Additional ad-projects, including assisting to refine process and workflow of Marketing and Communications Department Manual, and assist in writing of market updates


  • Undergraduates in Information Management, Business, Finance or Investment related disciplines
  • Experience with database organization and management preferred, IT savvy
  • Interest in process improvement, with strong organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of investment basics
  • Strong project management skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good writing skills
  • Ability to think out of the box and search for creative solutions

Role Summary

Reporting to Head of Fixed Income, the selected candidate will serve as Fullerton’s product expert within the Fixed Income team to institutional and other clients in asset gathering and client servicing; and act as a liaison between Fixed Income team and Business Development team.

  • Represent Fullerton’s Fixed Income team externally to prospects, consultants at pitches & due diligence meetings and to existing clients and portfolio reviews.
  • Articulate investment philosophy, process, performance, thesis, positioning and market outlook externally and internally
  • Be embedded in the Fixed Income team interacting closely with lead portfolio managers and all members of the team
  • Supports new business and key client account communication efforts. Includes development of materials for due diligence presentations, finalist/gatekeeper presentations, sales conferences, and any other activities required for servicing key accounts.
  • Develop investment commentaries on a regular basis.
  • Proactive engagement with assigned Sales Managers to identify solution to clients/ investors and explore avenues to further grow fixed income AUM
  • Offer appropriate solutions with consideration of clients’ risk profile and investment objectives
  • Project a high level of professionalism in all client engagement to uphold image of Fullerton


Education Qualification

Degree from a good university in relevant field


Experience and Skills

  • Minimally 8 to 10 years of working experience with 5+ years of Fixed Income experience
  • Strong understanding of fixed income investment management and markets
  • Preference for candidates with experience as product specialist, portfolio management or research in Fixed Income specifically
  • Familiar with fixed income analytics. Strong knowledge of MS Powerpoint, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong ability to effectively communicate with peers, management, and clients. Ability to effectively act as a mouthpiece for the team.
  • Excellent presentation development and delivery to a variety of audience sizes.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and work ethic.
