Role Summary
The selected intern will work with our Multi-Asset team on a project to prepare analysis for engagement with insurance companies. The scope of this project includes the following:

1. Industry landscape for Insurance Companies in Singapore and key regional markets.

2. For Singapore based insurance companies, market and trend analysis of investment linked policies or ILP. Product groupings, growth in AUM, competitor analysis, performance evaluation over the last 1, 3 and 5 years.

3. Comparing ILPs and Unit Trusts. Market segmentation and trends in investors’ demand.

4. An evaluation of CPFIS and SRS; products; fees and performance

Education Qualification
You should ideally be a penultimate undergraduate, studying in an local institution, with some relevant knowledge of the financial services industry.

Experience and Skills

  • Some prior internship or work experience in the financial services industry would be ideal.
  • Comfortable with data, possess analytical mind and meticulous.        
  • Proactive with good interpersonal skill and the ability to multi-task.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), the selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the CIO with various aspects of investment support as well as administration.

  • Supporting the CIO on creation of reports and charts, as well as powerpoint presentation in support of investment activities
  • Organizing CIO’s Bloomberg interface for maximum efficiency
  • Coordination of investment meetings, write meeting minutes and assisting to follow up on action required after meetings
  • Support data management, including extraction and collation of data for report generation, team discussions etc.
  • Provide administrative support for the CIO, including travel arrangements, claims and logistic support for meetings and events.
  • Back up to the PA support as assigned


Education Qualification

  • Diploma/Degree in a relevant discipline


Experience and Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector, preferably with exposure to the asset management industry
  • Strong quantitative and Excel skills
  • Proficient in Powerpoint and generating Charts
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions to problems that may arise
  • Good team player and eager to take on new responsibilities
  • Eye for detail and ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of FactSet, Thomson Financials and Bloomberg preferable

Role Summary

The selected candidate is responsible for managing all aspects of fund’s financials and tax related tasks for unit trust funds, fund of hedge funds and private equity funds.

  • Reviewing of fund valuations, management accounts and financial statements for funds and private equity funds
  • Liaise with clients, auditors, tax agents, fund administrators, trustees and legal counsels.
  • Manage all aspects of the fund’s financials and tax related matters:
    • Cost effective and tax efficient structures for funds managed by the company
    • Filings for various tax regimes, including but not limited to Singapore, Luxembourg, Cayman, Mauritius, China and United States.
    • Financial statement consolidation and reconciliation
    • Monitoring and management of the audit process across funds and ensure timely delivery of financial statements
    • Reviewing of financial statements in accordance with the various accounting standards
    • Handling of FATCA and CRS reporting.
  • Processing of transactions related to fund of hedge funds and private equity funds.

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting and qualified accountants are preferred.


Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fund accounting or tax
  • Tax compliance experience in public accounting firm would be an advantage.
  • In depth understanding of FATCA and CRS regulations, requirements and reporting procedures.
  • Experience dealing with external stakeholders, including external auditors, tax agents and shareholder/stakeholder relations
  • Meticulous and great attention to details
  • Good communication skills and strong team player
  • Organized and process-oriented

The selected candidate will support the Compliance team in investment compliance.

  • Investment Guidelines Coding and Testing (via Bloomberg AIM and Vendor System)
  • Investment Guidelines Monitoring
  • Specifications Documentations for Investment Guidelines
  • Reviewing and Providing Inputs to Fund Documentation/Agreements on Investment Guidelines
  • Assisting Internal Stakeholders on Investment Guidelines related queries
  • Breach escalation and follow up
  • Investment related trade monitoring where necessary


Education Qualification

  • Degree in a relevant discipline


Experience and Skills

  • Minimal of 5 years of experience in Investment Guidelines Coding, Testing and Monitoring
  • Experience in Bloomberg AIM is absolutely critical
  • Familiar with Investment Guidelines under MAS Code of CIS/UCITS law
  • Well versed in using Excel and Macros
  • Able to work independently
