As part of Equities team, the selected candidate will be focused on equities research for the healthcare sector in Asia and globally.  You should have a strong track record in stock picking with the goal of generating absolute and relative outperformance.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Idea generation and conduct in-depth fundamental analysis as well as thorough financial modeling of companies in the healthcare sector in Asia and globally.  
  • Keeping a close eye on business trends, competition and new regulatory policy impacting the covered sector
  • Conduct company visits and/or conference calls with management of companies under coverage
  • Prepare detailed and extensive research report, and present/propose individual stock ideas that have been comprehensively analyzed in a convincing and thorough manner to Portfolio Managers
  • Engage industry consultants
  • Assist Portfolio Manager in portfolio management duties

 

Experience and Skills

  • You should have 8 to 10 years of relevant experience covering the healthcare sector in Asia
  • You have a good eye for details, possess strong analytic and quantitative skillset
  • You should be proficient with advanced computer software such as spreadsheets and database programs
  • You are highly driven, resourceful, able to work under time pressure and operate effectively in a dynamic working environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and running stock screens, maintaining stock databases and preparing powerpoint presentations.
  • Support data management, including extraction and collation of data for stock analysis, report generation, team discussions etc.
  • Coordinating with the middle & back office and trading team pertaining to risk, compliance, performance and transaction reports.

Requirements

  • Understanding of financial markets

Fixed Income

Responsibilities

  • Assist the product specialist in maintaining data and marketing paraphernalia
  • Maintenance of spreadsheets, data, powerpoint slides
  • Downloading of data, primarily from Bloomberg
  • Assist with investment reporting
  • Creating new content, such as powerpoint slides

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft excel (including macros), Microsoft powerpoint, Microsoft word
  • Good attitude and a keen eye for details is key

Private Equity (PE)

Responsibilities

  • Assisting PE team with setting up processes and databases
  • Database creation/maintenance for contacts, pipelines, universe and other PE related
  • Conducting research on market data relating to PE, Venture Capital (VC) and Infrastructure sectors

The selected candidate will be the primary legal contact for the review of trading and derivative documentation and work closely with the investment operations and credit risk departments within Fullerton.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • The preparation, negotiation and execution of all “buy-side” derivatives documentation to be entered into by Fullerton, including (but not limited to) ISDA Master Agreements, ISDA Credit Support Annexes, FX agreements and ISDA Master Confirmation Agreements.
  • Where required, the preparation, negotiation and execution of other master agreements and related documentation such as TBMA/ISMA Global Master Repurchase Agreements, ISLA Global Master Securities Lending Agreements, Clearing Agreements, Trustee Instruction Letters and Powers of Attorney.
  • Advise and collaborate with internal stakeholders on a systematic approach to the negotiation and conclusion of derivative documentation in a highly efficient and legally prudent manner.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all individual matters under negotiation with counterparty banks, brokers and clearers, and provide regular updates to the derivatives workgroup within Fullerton.
  • Ensure that the requirements of trustees and clients are duly observed in derivative documentation entered into on their behalf.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate level of knowledge of the relevant legal and market requirements affecting Fullerton’s activities in relation to derivatives.
  • Conduct training for various internal stakeholders and to be a central repository of derivative knowledge and expertise for the legal team.

 

Experience and Skills

  • Minimally 2 years of relevant experience in derivative documentation is essential to this role. Experience gained in derivatives documentation from the banking industry will be advantageous.
  • Good written and spoken English is required.
  • Knowledge of investment funds and regulations relevant to the asset management industry will be an advantage but is not necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Organised, detail-oriented and possesses the ability to work under tight timeframes and meet deadlines.
  • Must have a collaborative and client-enabling approach to the provision of legal support.
  • Resourceful individual with a “can do” attitude who enjoys working autonomously in a team.

 

As part of ESG team, the selected candidate will support Head of ESG in the development of Fullerton’s ESG investment policies and assist with relevant ESG research for incorporation into our investment process.

Assisting and supporting the Head of ESG in:

  • Dealing with internal stakeholders to incorporate ESG principles and values as part of the firm-wide philosophy
  • Working with external research service providers to build capacity within the ESG investment research process
  • Conducting internal ESG research for investee companies not supported by external research
  • Supporting the development of ESG strategies/products for both the retail and institutional markets

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in ESG Research
